Introducing Ptarmigan-1

Talus Bio was releasing Ptarmigan-1 — an AI model that predicts how proteins and small molecules engage without needing a 3D structure, opening up drug targets conventional methods can't touch. Frontier science with a catch: no lab b-roll, no office footage, and a story that lives in embedding spaces and disordered proteins rather than anything a camera can point at.

02 / Goal

Make a deep-science model release legible in minutes. The film had to explain structure-free drug discovery to investors, pharma partners, and researchers at once — and feel like a confident product launch, not an academic lecture.

03 / Solution

We built the film around co-founders Alex and Lindsay telling the story in their own words, then lifted the charts and visuals straight from the company's deck and animated them into the connective tissue — the data itself became the b-roll. Produced with NFX, delivered for the Ptarmigan-1 release alongside the paper and platform launch.
